Margo's armada

Aloha!

On July 4, 2008 my friend Margo paddled her one-man outrigger canoe past Philly on her way to Washington DC. She's paddling 500 miles to speak on a pending piece of legislation dubbed "Oceans 21"

I and members of Philadelphia Outrigger Canoe Club (POCC) paddled with her for a distance, from the Tacony Palmyra Bridge to just past the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing.

In addition to showing our support for this bill and our friend Margo, we wanted to show how the Delaware River could be used for recreation. Although access to the river is fairly difficult at this time, we had a terrific day!
